Halloween is a favorite holiday across the United States with almost 70% of people celebrating and billions of dollars spent! We hope you have an amazing, fun, spooky and delicious Halloween! But we also hope you'll take a couple of minutes to watch this video and consider taking special steps to keep your pets safe this (and every) year.
Remember: Halloween can pose a few threats for companion dogs and cats.
Costumes on their bodies can be uncomfortable
Costumes on you can be scary
A front door visited by trick-or-treaters can be an invitation to flee your home
Candy and wrappers can be dangerous for pets to eat, or even lick
These and other hazards make Halloween a particularly dangerous holiday for cats and dogs. However, a few small behavior modifications on your part - or precautions taken on the days leading up to, during and after Halloween - can make all the difference to your pets' health and well-being.
